EASTER OF EDEN

I totally forgot about Easter this year, until Easter. Edie was out of town for the holiday so we didn't have her until the weekend after. I was initially bummed about this, until I realized Easter candy was now, like, ninety nine percent off. I think I'll forget about it next year as well.

Doug and Mo loaned us their backyard again this year, the lil' angels.

Mo even went all out and set up a special scavenger hunt for Ede, because he's Mo.

There were at least twelve of these clues. Pure. Genius. This guy puts his entire turkish heart n' soul into it. A real gem.

On the walk to our favorite neighborhood coffee shop, we spotted a time machine in our favorite neighborhood hoarder's yard.

Eden wasn't really buying the whole time machine bit.

That or she really has no interest in time travel. Which is impossible.

Harriet being her saucy self.

Sassy sauce.

One of the countless times she looks just like Tyson.

Speaking of, he kept trying to get her to keep her eyes open for this picture but she insisted that having her eyes closed was part of the "rock star pose".

She obviously knows what she's doing.

This picture cracks me up. That face with the mouth. Hilarious. I hope she never stops putting up random signs about the house.

I swear she looks like a younger me in this photo. Or maybe my sister Ashley. Or both. Or none.

Pizza poking.

Pizza Paparazzi. Add to list of potential band names.

BOULANGERIES 'N WHATNOT

We finally visited a fairly new french bakery downtown that I had been lusting after for a while. The chocolate croissant was thumbs up. Alas, most everything else looked better than it tasted. Typical tricky France.

Me telling Eden to "look at the pastries like you want to buy one".

She did not want to buy one.

This is Eden's face when she gets tricked into a good mood whilst attempting to pout.

After breakfast we headed over to the Leonardo, an art/science/creativity museum of sorts, for the first time. We are now fans.

PADAWANPANTS

Tyson teaching Eden how to play Lego Star Wars.

It was intense.

Now and again she likes to record herself reading stories out loud so she can listen to them over and over.

Putting herself to sleep. I approve.

HAPPY ANNA HOWARD SHAW DAY

The weekend before Valentines we had Eden. Per tradition, we made cookies.

Tyson bought this apron for her in celebration of one of her favorite holidays.
Father of the year, erry year.

I like to call this, "Slickback Lamar and his Dopey Lil' Daisy"

I love these two.

Jan 22, 2013

These were taken back in August the weekend prior to my birthday. On Saturday we took a trip to the Farmer's Market downtown to take advantage of some locally produced snow cones, of course. Sunday we drove up to Oktoberfest at Snowbird to enjoy some semi-fresh air amongst some semi-sober people. Highlights included: Eden enjoying the view from the top of the mountain up until she realized we had to take the ski lift down, taking the ski lift down when Eden realized she loved it, being surprised with an early birthday treat, and spending quality time with these two dudes.
